The beach of Barcelona is amazing. The water there is the clearest blue you could possibly imagine and is warm enough that even my mom decided to take a dip! One day we decided to rent some bikes and take a ride down to the beach. We rode by the harbor and saw all of the boats docked there and received our first view of the beautiful Mediterranean. Then we continued our "journey" down to the beach. We parked our bikes, locked them and then headed down to the sand. There we enjoyed a nice day swimming and basking in the warm sun. This was one way we experienced the water. Another was a cable car up to the top of Montjuic, a castle on the top of a small mountain. We had an amazing view of the water from the cable car and could pick out all of the little boats in the picturesque water bellow.
