Scenes of Barcelona

Barcelona is a massive city. There are tiny little side allies that wind throughout the city as well as bigger streets such as La Gran Via and La Passeig de Gracia which are located in in the eixample district. One of the most famous streets, as well as my favorite streets was La Rambla which is wide and lengthy. La Rambla is a very cool street. It is pedestrianized with a wide walkway running down the middle so there are thousands of tourists and natives wandering down. There are lots of souvenir stands on the street as well as many entertainers such as people dressed as statues, people street dancing and people playing instruments. While meandering down the small backstreets, we would often come across intricate wrought iron balconies and enormous wooden doors. Many times, these little backstreets would lead us to beautiful plazas where we would sit down, have a drink and watch people going about their business. All of this walking was great sport although after a while, my feet became very sore. Nevertheless, my mom and I had a great time uncovering the hidden mysteries of Barcelona.

P.S. Pictures to come soon!
